Approval of the Legal Framework for Credit Titles

Decree-Law No. 2/2022 of May 25, approving the Legal Framework for Credit Titles ("RJTC"),
revoked Book IV (articles 634 to 838) of the Commercial Code, relating to Credit Titles. This
Decree-Law comes into force 120 days after its publication, therefore on September 22, 2022.
In terms of content, this Decree-Law brings very few new elements, being largely limited to
restructuring Book IV of the Commercial Code, serving in fact only to make the framework for
credit titles autonomous, a change that has long been intended.
